em’s story
there are moments in life that change us.
experiences that quietly redirect our path.
with em. began from one of those moments.
my own journey led me to mindfulness, sound healing and a deeper understanding of connection.
today, with em. brings these together.
creating spaces where you can simply be.
the creation of
with em.
two offerings, one intention.
at its heart, with em. is about community.
this unfolds in two ways.
fem.
bespoke gatherings and retreats rooted in connection, creativity and shared presence.
an invitation to take time for you: discover what sound healing and mindfulness can offer you, and explore meaningful moments with others.
open to everyone, “fem” reflects qualities of expression, movement and play that live within all of us.
heal.
gentle healing circles and retreats designed for women who have experienced pregnancy loss.
spaces where grief can breathe.
where honest sharing is welcomed, or silence is understood.
each offering is intentionally small and held with compassion using mindfulness and sound.

sound healing involves the use of specific instruments including crystalline singing bowls, gongs, drums and other vibrations to restore balance in the mind and body.
these instruments are played in a sound bath at a specialised, therapeutic acoustic frequency and the waves ripple through our bodies at a cellular level. research shows the sound waves stimulate our vagus nerve and ideally shift our brain into a meditative or ‘theta’ brainwave state, which allows access to deeper levels of inner wisdom, healing and connection.
when the human body is out of balance, our natural frequencies are disrupted. sound therapy helps to restore the body back to a calm state and release stagnant, unwanted energy - promoting physical, mental and emotional healing.
-
mindfulness practice is concerned with discovering and deepening a state of meditative awareness. mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present in any given moment without judgement: aware of where we are and what we are doing, and not reactive or overwhelmed by what is going on around us.
being mindful - conscious, present and aware - is often referenced as a fundamental purpose of human experience. very often we find ourselves too concerned in what is coming or has been, and are unable to simply enjoy the present. mindfulness helps to change this.
studies have demonstrated that regular mindfulness practice has positive effects on cognitive functioning, brain structure, emotional well-being and stress reduction. it offers a wide range of benefits for mental health, focus, physical wellbeing, relationships, resilience and personal development.
